 Why Being Outside Actually Helps 

I didn’t really think much about ecotherapy until I actually tried it myself. Last week, I went out to the James River, and it ended up being way more relaxing than I expected.I wasn’t doing anything crazy, just sitting by the water, walking around a bit, and kind of unplugging from everything. But after a while, I noticed I wasn’t stressing about school or anything else as much. It felt like my head finally slowed down for a minute. I guess that’s what ecotherapy is really about. It’s not some big complicated thing, it’s just being outside and letting yourself reset a little. Being near the water, hearing the ospreys around me, it just made a difference. It’s not like it fixes everything, but it definitely helped more than I thought it would.
