Braden Gage (Class Readings)
In class we discussed the Rio Grande, and I read an article that said the river's water situation is really serious right now because people are using more water than nature can replace, and the drought has made the problem even worse, so parts of the river are drying up faster than expected. The article explained that scientists counted all the water taken out for farms, cities, and evaporation, and found that more than half of it is being used in ways that don't get replenished naturally, which means the reservoirs, underground water, and river flow are shrinking, and without big changed the water supply for millions of people and crops on both sides of the border could keep getting worse.
