Braden Gage (Outside Reading)

I read an article from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences about air pollution, and it made me realize how serious the health effects actually are. The article explained that air pollution isn't just bad for your lungs, but can affect almost every system in the body, including the heart, brain, and even the immune system. It also talked about how pollutants from things like cars, factories, and wildfires can lead to disease like asthma, cardiovascular problems, and even cancer. What stood out to me the most is that some of the smallest particles in the air can go deep into your lungs and even enter your bloodstream, which is kind of crazy to think about. It made me realize that air pollution is more than just something you see like smoke or smog, it's something that can affect people even when they don't notice it.
